A PARTY WITH A PURPOSE

Karnival Krewe de Louisiane

The only krewe of its kind, the purpose of Karnival Krewe de Louisiane (KKdL) is to raise funds for cancer research, cancer education, and indigent cancer patient care in the Baton Rouge area. Originally called the Governor’s Mardi Gras Ball in 1987, Karnival Krewe de Louisiane, was founded by a group of individuals who cared deeply about those faced with cancer and shared a passion for the Mardi Gras tradition.

To date, the Krewe has contributed nearly $6 million to support Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center’s mission to improve survivorship and lessen the burden of cancer.

A LIFETIME OF GIVING

To preserve the benefits of its philanthropic activities, Karnival Krewe de Louisiane is proud to continue to raise money to support the efforts of Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center. This relationship is a win-win situation for all concerned, especially those in need of cancer services in our community. To date, the Krewe has helped to raise nearly $6 MILLION!
